“…Viruses are the important pathogens that cause considerable yield and quality loss in P. kingianum. Currently, there is a total of six viruses reported infecting P. kingianum, including apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) [4], bean common mosaic virus (BCMV) [5], polygonatum kingianum virus 1(PKgV1) [6], paris mosaic necrosis virus (PMNV) [7], polygonatum mosaic-associated virus 1 (PMaV1) [8], and polygonatum kingianum cryptic virus 1 (PKCV1) [9]. In this study, the complete genome sequence of a putative novel potyvirus infecting P. kingianum was obtained and subjected to molecular characterization.…”

“…(Kumar et al, 2012;Liu et al, 2019;Morán et al, 2020;Nickel & Fajardo, 2014). The ASGV infection was reported from Lilium (lily), citrus, Pyrus communis (pear), Malus domestica (apple) but recently, the virus is known with expanding host range like Eriobotrya japonica (loquat), Ficus palmata (fig), Polygonatum kingianum (Solomon's seal), Prunus cerasoides (wild cherry), Bambusa vulgaris (bamboo), Rosa multiflora (multiflora rose), Bauhinia variegata (orchid tree), Paeonia lactiflora (peony), and many other hosts (Bhardwaj & Hallan, 2019b;Bhardwaj et al, 2015Bhardwaj et al, , 2017Chen et al, 2019;Clover et al, 2003). The virus is transmitted by mechanical inoculation and grafting; however, seed transmission is also reported in Chenopodium quinoa and Lilium spp.…”
