“…However, to confirm this thesis and to draw conclusions on the degree of aggressiveness of D. eres strains, more strains should be examined. The presence of this species was reported on fruiting trees recently, causing symptoms on shoots of apples, pears, cherries and plums (Abramczyk et al, 2018) and rot of 5% apple fruits during storage period (Głos et al, 2021) in Poland. Therefore, it could be valuable to monitor the prevalence and aggressiveness of this species, in order to evaluate its potential agronomic importance.…”
