Fisheries of the scavenger species Calophysus macropterus: a case study in the Bolivian Amazon

Abstract: Bolivian Amazon small-scale fisheries traditionally focus on large migratory fish species. However, in the last decade there has been a trend of increased landings of low-value medium-sized migratory species, such as blanquillo, Calophysus macropterus.
