Abstract:To understand the fission dynamics of 256 Rf, we performed neutron multiplicity measurements for the reaction 48 Ti+ 208 Pb at an excitation energy of 57.4 MeV. The results confirmed the presence of quasi-fission processes in this system. The experimental neutron multiplicities have also been compared with the theoretical predictions from statistical model calculations. From this comparison, the value of reduced dissipation strength for the 256 Rf nucleus is found to be (7.6 ± 0.7) × 10 21 s −1 and a fission d… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
