“…Many important cytotoxic biflavonoids namely calycopterin, neocalycopterin and other flavan-4-ols were isolated from the ethanolic and ethyl acetate extracts of leaves of Calycopteris floribunda (Mayer, 1999(Mayer, , 2004. In the present study methanolic extract of leaves of Calycopteris floribunda showed the presence of flavonoids, which might account for the severity of clinical signs observed in rats and rabbits.…”
