Five-Dimensional Space-Times with a Variable Gravitational and Cosmological Constant

Abstract: We have presented cosmological models in five-dimensional Kaluza-Klein space-time with a variable gravitational constant (G) and cosmological constant (Λ). We have investigated Einstein’s field equations for five-dimensional Kaluza-Klein space-time in the presence of perfect fluid with time dependentGandΛ. A variety of solutions have been found in whichGincreases andΛdecreases with timet, which matches with current observation. The properties of fluid and kinematical parameters have been discussed in detail.

“…There has been huge attract in the investigation of higher dimensional space-time in current years due to the evidence that the cosmos at its beginning period of expansion of the universe that might have had a higher dimensional epoch. This evidence had attracted several authors (Venkateswarlu and Kumar [26], Khadekar and Avachar [27], Bahrehbakhsh et al [28], Biswal et al [29], Venkateswarlu et al [30] Oli [31], Ramprasad et al [32], Rao et at. “…Since we are living in a 4D space-time, the hidden extra dimension in 5D is highly likely to be associated with the invisible DM and DE [83]. Few of the worth mentioning works on higher dimensional space-time during the last few years can be seen in [20,[84][85][86][87][88][89][90][91]93].…”
