Fixed-Time Cooperative Guidance Law With Angle Constraint for Multiple Missiles Against Maneuvering Target

Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of the fixed-time cooperative guidance (FxTCG) law for multi-missiles against a single maneuvering target with constraints of both the interception time and the line-of-sight (LOS) angle. Firstly, by utilizing the consensus protocol and the fixed-time consensus theory, a new FxTCG in the LOS direction is presented to guarantee that the multiple missiles intercept the incoming target synchronously. Moreover, the acceleration of the target causes disturbance, so a simple fixedtim… Show more

“…(2) By using the dynamic inverse method, the coupled cooperative guidance model is decoupled, and the ITDSG is designed based a prescribed-time stable method subject to the decoupled model. This is opposed to Ref [21,22,30], where the guidance laws are designed without considered the coupling…”

“…The rapid convergence is an important requirement for missiles, quadrotors, and other flight vehicles, because the final guidance time is short and about a few seconds [20]. Therefore, variable high-performance control strategies, including funnel control [21,22], prescribed performance control [23,24], and finite/fixed-time sliding mode techniques [25][26][27][28][29][30][31], have been applied to flight control systems. Compared with the traditional asymptotic stability, finitetime control can obtain faster convergence rate [25,32].…”

“…In order to attack a maneuvering target, a fixed-time cooperative guidance law is presented with constraints including the impact time and the LOS angle [30]. The designed fixed-time cooperative guidance law in [31] can satisfy the impact angle constraints, which regards the interference in the direction of LOS as zero.…”

“…However, the negative power term exists in the consensus protocol in [31]. To solve this problem, a new FxTCG law was presented in [32], which utilizes an adaptive fixed-time convergence reaching law together with a novel fixed-time consensus protocol. Moreover, Chen et al [33] proposed a 3D FxTCG law with LOS angle constraints for maneuvering target interception, which can achieve faster convergence and high precision.…”
