“…These compounds could be used as potential markers to distinguish R. crenulata and R. rosea with other species. Besides, rhodioflavonoside (Compound 212) is a glycoside coshared between R. rosea and R. quadrifida, 4,71,72,91 while rhodiolgidin (Compound 214) is coexisted in R. crenulata and R. rosea 53,54,114,135. There are three other flavonoles found in R. crenulata, namely crenulatin A (Compound 215), crenulatin B (Compound 216),99 and rhodiolin (Compound 217),56,63,66,87,104,121,126,134 respectively.…”

“…As for the compounds, gossypetin-7-Ol-rhamnopyranoside (1) and rhodioflavonoside (2), both are flavonoid glycosides. Gossypetin-7-O-lrhamnopyranoside (1) was isolated in 1985 (Zapesochnaya et al, 1985) form R. rosea. Rhodioflavonoside (2) was isolated in 1996 (Yoshikawa et al, 1996) form R. quadrifida.…”

“…Repeated column chromatography followed by crystallization and preparative TLC afforded the isolation of five compounds: gossypetin-7-O-l-rhamnopyranoside (1), rhodioflavonoside (2), gallic acid (3), trans-phydroxycinnamic acid (4) and p-tyrosol (5). Their structures were identified by 1 H and 13 C NMR data, MS spectra and comparison with those reported in the literature (Zapesochnaya et al, 1985;Yoshikawa et al, 1996;Fan et al, 2001;Yu et al, 1993).…”

“…Six different groups of chemical components with pharmaceutical interest could be found in the roots and rhizomes: (1) phenylpropanoids—alcohol derivatives of the cinnamon acid and glycosides like rosavin (2.1%) [33], rosin and rosarin (which are classified under the general name of “rosavins”) [30, 32, 34–36]; (2) phenylethanoids—salidroside (rhodioloside) (0.8%), p -tyrosol [3742]; (3) flavonoids—including rodiolin, rodionin, rodiosin, acetylrodalgin, tricin [32, 34, 43], and tannins 16–18% [44]; (4) monoterpenes, including rosiridol and rosidarin; (5) triterpenes, such as daucosterol and betasitosterol; (6) phenolic acids such as chlorogenic, hydroxycinnamic, gallic acids [29] and essential oils [35, 45, 46]. All these substances determine the specificity of the Rhodiola extracts.…”
