In the Present time Bridge Load Rating plays an important role in estimating the structural condition as well as the performance and the safety parameter of the already constructed bridge. There are different experimental method which are available in order to perform the load rating phenomenon. The primary goal of this research project is to present an analytical way in which the load carrying capacity through the process known as Bridge Load Rating can be performed on the software basis as per the IRC Codes. Till now the only codes available in the MIDAS Civil software for the load rating work are the AASHTO LRFR-19, AASHTO LRFR-11, AASHTO LRFD05, CS454/20, so in this research work the load rating work as per the Indian Codes is trying to be achieved. In this paper modelling and comparison of two PSC Post Tensioned Single Span Box Girder of span length 40m is carried out on the MIDAS Civil software and the objective of the study is to evaluate the load carrying capacity of the two different model based on the value of Flexural B.M, S.F and vertical displacement. The two models which are modelled among them the first model represent the state of newly constructed bridge and the other model represent the condition of the same bridge but after a stipulated time period. It was found out that the bridge loses it’s structural strength and capacity after a time period of 70 years. It was discovered that there is a considerable increase of 149.33% and 34.8% in the value of vertical displacement and Bending moment in the bridge model which was analysed after a time period of 70 years. The methodology adopted in this paper for the load rating work can also be used on different bridge structures such as Reinforced cement concrete and Pre-stresses Concrete bridges such as Cable stayed, Composite I Girder, T-Girder, I-Girder bridges etc.
