Abstract: The subsidence of the land surface in the northern coast of Java has become a national and international concern, indicating that Jakarta may sink in the coming years. Remote sensing, particularly with SAR data, is widely used to monitor deformation and land subsidence. Several studies show a trend of land subsidence in Jakarta in recent years.
