Flow of Carbon Nanotubes under pressure driven conditions through microchannels

Abstract: In this work, the flow characteristics of suspensions of Carbon Nanotube (CNT) concentrations have been flown through microchannels under a pressure gradient. The suspensions of CNTs were made using sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (NaDDBS) as a surfactant. Flow rate of wax intercalated Carbon Nanotubes were also investigated, which will be extended for studying heat transfer characteristics of these nanoencapsulated Phase Change materials (PCMs) under a constant heat flux at the walls of the microchannel.
