Flowering Phenology May Shape Hybridization Patterns of Hawthorn (Crataegus L.) Species

Abstract: Asynchronous flowering phenology is an important prezygotic barrier to hybridization, especially in the case of sympatric species, while the degree of overlap in flowering can influence hybridization odds and shift introgression.
