Fluorene-Modified Zinc Porphyrin as Low-Cost Hole-Transporting Material for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells

Abstract: The potential of porphyrin derivatives as hole-transporting materials (HTMs) for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has been demonstrated. The structural engineering of porphyrin HTMs provides an important means for further improvement of the performance of PSCs. Herein, a zinc-porphyrin derivative (ZnP-FL) decorated with four fluorene-terminated triarylamines is presented. The lab synthesis cost of ZnP-FL is estimated to be around 32.2 $/g. It exhibits good charge-transport ability and thermal stability. A high po… Show more

“…In 2022, Zhong and co-workers reported the synthetic access and efficiency as HTM of complex Zn-7 bearing meso -triarylamino moieties, each featuring a terminal fluorene ( Scheme 3 ). 22 The key step was the C–N coupling between readily accessible 5,10,15,20- tetrakis (4-bromophenyl)porphyrin 2a and N -(4-methoxyphenyl)-9,9-dimethyl-9 H -fluoren-3-amine A4 under Buchwald–Hartwig conditions. After metalation of the resulting free-base derivative 7 with Zn(OAc) 2 , required Zn-7 was obtained in 66% yield.…”

“…Among them, chiral organic luminophores have drawn great attention owing to their versatile applications in three-dimensional display 1 , optical information storage 2 , light-emitting diode [3][4][5][6][7][8] , asymmetric catalysis 9,10 , and biological sensor 11 . These chiroptical properties should originate from molecular structural or environmental [12][13][14][15][16][17] chirality. Therefore, the construction of chirality plays a vital role in exploring novel luminophores with chiroptical properties.…”
