“…The λ ex / λ em wavelength for LBPC23-AgCs was found to be 214 nm, 338 nm (I) and 270 nm, 538 nm (II), respectively. Figure 6A shows the excitation (214 nm) and emission (338 nm) bands reflecting the effect of organics core, fluorescence of aromatic AA such as tryptophan, tyrosine, and phenylalanine (Ghisaidoobe and Chung, 2014), and Figure 6B shows the excitation (270 nm) and emission (538 nm) bands characteristic for silver light interaction to the core of nanocomposites (Siwach and Sen, 2009). Taking into consideration that all of the results led to the confirmation of the natural presence of an organic surface generated by the bacteria isolated from the whey-protein/peptide components into or onto the silver nanoparticles core that are referred to as biocolloids.…”

“…Among such materials, silver nanoparticles have been intensively studied because of their intriguing optical, electronic, mechanical and bactericidal properties [ 2 ]. Several techniques have been employed for the synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles, such as gas evaporation, arc plasma, sputtering, electrochemical methods, laser ablation [ 3 ], etc. This communication describes the synthesis of silver nanoparticles by chemical reduction of silver ions by NaBH 4 [ 4 ].…”

“…It should be mentioned that the fluorescence of metal clusters and thin films is well established based on Mooradian's observation of photoluminescence from bulk copper and gold [24]. Also several reports are available related to the fluorescence of silver nanoclusters [25,26].Glucose, a simple sugar (monosaccharide), is an important carbohydrate in biology. Cells use it as a source of energy and a metabolic intermediate and its lack or excess can produce detrimental influence on cellular functions.…”
