Fluorescence sensing of dichlorvos pesticide by the luminescent Tb(III)‐3‐ally‐salicylohydrazide probe

Abstract: A fluorescent probe was developed and characterized, it consisted of terbium(III) with 3-ally-salicylohydrazide in ethanol, in which the 1:2 [Tb :S ] molar ratio was the best stoichiometric ratio for the probe. The ligand 3-ally-salicylohydrazide (S ) was synthesized, then was confirmed by IR, CHN, LC-MS and H NMR. The sensitivity of the probe's fluorescence spectra towards the presence of eight organophosphorus pesticides in ethanolic solution was studied, in which the probe showed marked sensitivity towards … Show more

“…The ligand used was 3-allyl-2-hydroxybenzohydrazide (HAZ) and was synthesized according to a published protocol. 38 The chemical structure of the ligand and the GMF antibiotic are depicted in Scheme S1, available in the ESI †. All the solvents were of analytical purity.…”

“…Additionally, the emission spectra of the probe were determined to be in the range of 400-750 nm at λex = 360 nm. The characteristic luminescence peaks 5 D4→ 7 F6 (490 nm), 5 D4→ 7 F5 (545 nm), 5 D4→ 7 F4 (587 nm) and 5 D4→ 7 F3 (620 nm) transition of Tb(III) [55] were observed. The transition localized at 545 nm, which was the strongest, was hypersensitive and very sensitive to the coordinating environment.…”

“…Good linearity for target compound was achieved at the concentration range from 0.021 -22.11 µg/L. The SSF revealed to be a simple and fast analytical method for 2, 4-D with decent sensitivity and sufficient selectivity.A fluorescent probe that consisted of terbium(III) with 3-ally-salicylohydrazide in ethanol was used byIbrahim et al (2017) to investigate dichlorvos. The LOD and LOQ Chang et al (2017) applied a single-shot optical probe to detect paraoxon-ethyl pesticides in vegetable samples.…”
