Fluorescent Determination of Succinylcholine Chloride by Naphthalimide/ Stilbazolium Dye ⊂ CP5A

Abstract: Succinylcholine Chloride (SCC), a short-acting neuromuscular relaxant, is non-fluorescent in aqueous solutions. This property makes it impossible to be determined by direct fluorescent method. Naphthalimide dye (NA) exhibits very strong fluorescence emissions in aqueous solution, after complexing with carboxylatopillar[5]arene (CP5A) in aqueous solutions, the fluorescent quenched intensity of complex was observed. On the contraty, stilbazolium dye (SA) exhibits weak fluorescence emissions in aqueous solution, … Show more

“…The constructed pillararene-indicator system was used to detect choline compounds and monitor enzymatic reactions. In the meantime, Pan et al (2018) proposed a simple and rapid F-IDA method to detect Succinylcholine Chloride ( SCC ) based on naphthalimide dye ( NA ) or stilbazolium dye ( SA ) and the WP5 complex. In this F-IDA study, upon addition of SCC to the NA ⊂ WP5 or SA ⊂ WP5 solution, there was a recovery of the fluorescence intensity, bringing about the recognition of SCC due to competitive supramolecular displacement between SCC , NA , and SA for WP5 .…”

“…So far, there are few reports about uorescence chiral recognition based on assembly. Previously, our group has studied the cis/trans and chiral uorescence recognition by NA ⊂ CB [7] assembly [14][15]. On this basis, in order to enhance stability of binary assembly and the π-π interaction in recognizing process, PWP [5] as a substitute of CB [7] and anthracene dye as a substitute of naphthalimide dye we further studied characteristics of the achiral AD ⊂ achiral PWP [5] to hope to achieve better selectivity and sensitivity in uorescence recognition of chiral molecules.…”
