Le vocabulaire joue un rôle central dans l'enseignement et l'apprentissage des langues. Étant donné que le développement lexical en L2 a subi des changements importants au cours des dernières décennies (isolés, contextualisés, proactifs, accidentels, singulièrement centrés sur la forme, systématiques sur la forme, etc.), il va sans dire que les applications améliorées par la technologie et orientées numériquement fournissent opportunités sans précédent d'acquérir des unités lexicales de manière très individualisée (Webb et Nation 2017). Alors que les apprenants doivent augmenter leur vocabulaire à environ 8000 mots pour comprendre la plupart des textes généraux (Manzo, Manzo, & Thomas, 2006 ; Robb, 2009), et rencontrer de nouveaux mots à de nombreuses occasions (Harmon, et al. 2009) et dans un grand variété de contextes (Daniels et Zemelman, 2004), les enseignants sont limités dans leurs possibilités d'enseigner tous ces mots en classe. La recherche indique clairement que la compétence lexicale des élèves se développe par la lecture plutôt que par l'enseignement. Au lieu de se concentrer sur l'exposition des apprenants à de nouveaux mots en classe (Nation 2013), cet article propose des moyens de traiter le nouveau vocabulaire basé sur la technologie et des outils Web dans le but d'intégrer efficacement la technologie dans le développement de la littératie. En examinant un récit, The Boy in the Dress, à la fois pour l'école primaire et secondaire, les auteurs cherchent à démontrer que l'apprentissage multimédia sert à augmenter l'apprentissage de mots accidentels des élèves grâce à la lecture intensive. L'analyse de ce récit fournit aux enseignants des outils et des stratégies utiles sur la façon dont l'apprentissage du vocabulaire peut être effectué dans et en dehors de la salle de classe.

This study aims to determine the implementation of word games and their impact on student learning outcomes in learning new vocabulary in grade VII Mts Hasyim Asyari Ambon academic year 2020/2021. This research was conducted in three cycles. Using word games as a methodology in teaching English vocabulary starts with the preliminary activities of the teacher opening the class, preparing word game activities, and conveying the objectives of the material. Then in the core activity, the teacher applies the word games. The teacher gives instructions about the rules and activities of word games. In the closing activity, the teacher asks students to express their difficulties and problems when doing word games. The subsequent finding is that student learning outcomes increase each cycle, wherein only five students, or 20%, have completed the pre-cycle using conventional methods. During the first cycle, learning was carried out using word game methodologies. The number of students who achieved completeness threshold rose to 16 people or 64%. In the last cycle, all students can complete the post-test with the same methodology. It shows that using the word games methodology to deliver vocabulary learning materials has significantly improved student learning outcomes.

“…βασισμένες στη μαθησιακή «ετοιμότητα» των μαθητών/τριών, προτάσεις που εστιάζουν στη διεπίδραση και τη διαπραγμάτευση της σημασίας ως βασικής πηγής γλωσσικού εισαγομένου, διδακτικές προτάσεις που βασίζονται στην έννοια του κατανοητού γλωσσικού εισαγομένου και προτάσεις που ενώ είναι κατά βάση επικοινωνιακές, επιτρέπουν εστίαση στον τύπο (focus on form), δηλαδή επικέντρωση σε δομικά-γραμματικά στοιχεία της γλώσσας-στόχου τα οποία προκύπτουν ευκαιριακά μέσα από τις επικοινωνιακές ανάγκες που πρέπει να ικανοποιηθούν(Hutz, 2018) ή εστίαση στη σημασία (focus on meaning). Σύμφωνα με τονLong (2015), η εστίαση στη σημασία αποτελεί αναλυτική προσέγγιση, όπου οι εκπαιδευόμενοι/ες είναι πιο ελεύθεροι/ες από τον έλεγχο που υπάρχει σε συνθετικές μεθόδους και υλικά, εκτίθενται σε πιο πλούσιο γλωσσικό εισαγόμενο και χρησιμοποιούν τη δεύτερη γλώσσα για να επικοινωνήσουν για θέματα που τους ενδιαφέρουν.…”

Σκοπός της διατριβής ήταν να διερευνηθεί η διδασκαλία της ελληνικής γλώσσας σε ενήλικες μετανάστες/ριες-πρόσφυγες στο πλαίσιο δομών μη-τυπικής εκπαίδευσης και να συζητηθεί ο βαθμός που αυτή ανταποκρίνεται στις ανάγκες των εκπαιδευόμενων με μεταναστευτική εμπειρία. Διερευνήθηκε ο βαθμός αξιοποίησης εκ μέρους των εκπαιδευτών/τριών της υβριδικής ταυτότητας των εκπαιδευομένων και οι παράγοντες που ώθησαν τη συμμετοχή των μεταναστών/τριών και προσφύγων στην παρακολούθηση των μαθημάτων στις συγκεκριμένες δομές. Παράλληλα διερευνήθηκαν τα κίνητρα των εκπαιδευτών/τριών που διδάσκουν σε αυτές και η γλωσσοδιδακτική τους προσέγγιση αναφορικά με τη διδασκαλία της ελληνικής ως Γ2. Η έρευνα βασίστηκε σε ποιοτικές μεθόδους ανάλυσης δεδομένων, αξιοποιώντας δεδομένα από ημι-δομημένες συνεντεύξεις με εκπαιδευτές/τριες και εκπαιδευόμενους/ες, από την παρατήρηση διδασκαλιών σε δομές μη-τυπικής εκπαίδευσης και από το ερευνητικό ημερολόγιο της ερευνήτριας αναφορικά με θέματα της ερευνητικής και διδακτικής διαδικασίας. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας αναδεικνύουν την ιδιαίτερα θετική ανταπόκριση των εκπαιδευομένων στον τρόπο οργάνωσης/πραγματοποίησης της διδασκαλίας ελληνικής ως δεύτερης γλώσσας σε δομές μη-τυπικής εκπαίδευσης. Ο ρόλος των εκπαιδευτών/τριών στις εν λόγω δομές είναι πολύ φιλικός απέναντι στους εκπαιδευόμενους και τα κίνητρα που τους/τις ωθούν στην εθελοντική προσφορά μαθημάτων είναι κυρίως ιδεολογικής και προσωπικής φύσης. Οι διδακτικές μέθοδοι που χρησιμοποιούν είναι μείγμα από διάφορες προσεγγίσεις, κυρίως δομικές και κειμενοκεντρικές. Δεν διαφάνηκε ιδιαίτερη αξιοποίηση του γλωσσικού κεφαλαίου των εκπαιδευομένων, της κουλτούρας τους ή της ταυτότητάς τους κατά τη διεξαγωγή των μαθημάτων, όμως λαμβάνονται υπόψη ψυχολογικοί παράγοντες που εμπλέκονται στη διδασκαλία της δεύτερης γλώσσας και επιδιώκεται η δημιουργία φιλικού κλίματος, στοιχείο που εκλαμβάνεται πολύ θετικά από τους/τις εκπαιδευόμενους/ες. Επίσης, λαμβάνεται υπόψη η επένδυση των μαθητών/τριών στην εκμάθηση της δεύτερης γλώσσας και επιδιώκεται η δημιουργία κοινότητας και ενός τρίτου χώρου στην τάξη, όπου οι εκπαιδευόμενοι/ες αλληλεπιδρούν κοινωνικά με φυσικούς ομιλητές και με άλλους/ες με μεταναστευτική εμπειρία. Τα κίνητρα που ωθούν τους/τις εκπαιδευόμενους/ες στην παρακολούθηση των μαθημάτων στις συγκεκριμένες δομές είναι κατά βάση εργαλειακά, γνωστικά, κοινωνικά/ενσωματωτικά/διαπροσωπικά, εκπαιδευτικά, πρακτικά και συναισθηματικά. Θεωρούν ότι η γνώση της γλώσσας-στόχου συντελεί στην επαγγελματική τους αποκατάσταση, στην απόκτηση μεγαλύτερης αυτοπεποίθησης και στη διευκόλυνση της ένταξής τους, συνεπώς επενδύουν τον ελεύθερο χρόνο τους στην παρακολούθηση των μαθημάτων. Αυτή η επένδυση σχετίζεται άμεσα με την ταυτότητα που δομούν οι εκπαιδευόμενοι/ες ως μετανάστες/τριες-πρόσφυγες μαθητές/τριες. Επιπροσθέτως, η κοινωνικοποίηση σε διαφορετικά περιβάλλοντα συνεπάγεται τη δημιουργία μιας υβριδικής ταυτότητας σε έναν τρίτο χώρο, όπου επικρατεί φιλικό κλίμα και τα άτομα μοιράζονται κοινές εμπειρίες και στόχους.
