Focused beam self-cleaning during laser filamentation

Abstract: The beam self-cleaning phenomenon is theoretically predicted by the two-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation, which describes self-focusing, and is observed in the case of femtosecond laser filamentation in the collimated regime of propagation.
