Foix-Chavany-Marie or opercular syndrome

Abstract: A 69-year-old male was admitted to the emergency department with suspicion of a recurrent cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Medical history included a prior CVA in the vascular supply area of the left middle cerebral artery in 2010, due to a patent foramen ovale, causing cardiogenic emboli (Fig. A).
