National Food Security Mission (NFSM) was launched in October 2007 with new targets of additional production of 25 million tons of food grains comprising of 10 million tons rice, 8 million tons of wheat, 4 million tons of pulses and 3 million tons of coarse cereals by the end of 12th Five Year Plan. Redgram is cultivated in 2.77 lakh hectares across Telangana state. It is the major crop for Mahabubnagar, Adilabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nalgonda, Warangal, and Khammam districts. The present study was carried out in the Adilabad district of Telangana with sample of 105 respondents in the year 2020-21 and data was collected with the help of well-structured interview schedule. Before and after change in the income and production of the red gram under NFSM was determined. To determine impact on income and production, paired t test was run with the help of SPSS software. The result with the help of paired t-test concluded that change was witnessed in the income and production of the red gram beneficiaries with the intervention of NFSM Scheme.

Gender equity is the means to achieve gender equalities in farm families. According to their respective needs based on equivalency in terms of rights, benefits, obligations, and opportunities are considered fair in the treatment of farm women and farmers. Thus, it was very essential to measure the favorableness of farm families toward gender equity. It measures to reflect their acceptance and thought process regarding present gender dynamics in their house and farm. The present study focussed to devise an instrument and for that, a Likert’s Summated rating technique was used in the year 2022 with a true standardized methodology to construct the attitude towards gender equity. A total of 94 items were constructed by reviewing related literature. Based on the 80 responses from experts, 16 items were screened through item analysis. A split-half technique was used to measure the reliability of the scale and the reliability coefficient was 0.861. The validity of the scale was also proved as per experts’ judgments.

The study examines an exploration of agricultural diversification in India. Economic Survey 2022 calls for agriculture diversification in view of acute water stress in cultivated areas where wheat, paddy, and sugarcane are grown in India. Agriculture diversification has a direct association with farm income. Thus, it can substantially contribute to the income creation capacity of marginal and small farmers and stabilize their livelihoods. Thus, approaching this notion, a study aimed at an empirical analysis of agricultural diversification in the Bundelkhand region with the help of a primary survey. For this, a logit regression model has been used. With the implication of the logit model, it has been found that agriculture diversification is potentially and significantly more likely to be affected by the farm size, literacy, and agricultural training on technology demonstration. The study suggests restructuring education in rural areas and incorporating the aspect of regional agriculture literacy into the school curriculum. Special training or literacy programmes must be conducted specifically by targeting the small and marginal farmers, as the study found them more enthusiastic to adopt diversified agricultural practices. Further, there is an acute need to prevent ongoing land diminution, as excessively marginal land holdings are not effective and productive for diversified agricultural practices.
