To the Editor, We thank Wang et al. for their comments. 1,2 First, we aimed to control confounders that were relevant and available within our dataset, including sex, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status (SES), and the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI), a validated measure of comorbidity. The additional possible confounders suggested by Dr. Wang were not available in our dataset. This is a limitation and not uncommon in retrospective studies, which are often constrained by data availability. However, we utilized CCI as a comprehensive measure to partially account for overall health. Moreover, SES and ethnicity have been shown to be a proxy for lifestyle and SES can affect type 2 inflammation. 3 Although this does not fully substitute for direct TA B L E 2 FIA diagnostic rates in infants (<3 years) across follow-up years in "Clalit" database.
