Forensic Aspects of Horseracing

Abstract: The sport of horseracing has a long history, including a strong association with betting. This association, in particular, has introduced the risk of corruption, which is controlled by regulation. Challenges faced by regulators include assuring horse identity, controlling doping and medication, preventing prohibited practices, assuring horse welfare, and controlling corrupt betting.
