Abstract:The equilibrium component composition of films and aqueous solutions of symmetric cyanine dye was studied by the absorption spectroscopy. Films as well as aqueous solution contain several monomeric components (different isomers) and aggregate forms (dimers and J-aggregates). The observed components are the ionic pairs. The relative concentrations of the components depended on the structure of dye (anion, bulk and electron-donation ability of terminal groups) and its concentration.ywords-thin 111m; cyanine; dy… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
