“…The filamentation of femtosecond laser pulses [1] leads to a high concentration of the light field [2,3], which is maintained at a distance much longer than the Rayleigh length because of the dynamic balance between the self-focusing of radiation in a medium with the Kerr nonlinearity and its defocusing on free electrons from the ionization of the medium [1,4].
