“…122 However, these processing methods are still difficult to meet the needs of texture diversity and machining quality. In comparison, laser surface texturing offers the advantages on fabricating structure in scale 123 and structure 124 and provides an effective way to prepare the functional surface of materials.…”

“…Currently, the knee joint is deteriorating, and artificial total knee replacement has become the main way to correct deformation and improve joint function 1 . However, artificial joints suffer from severe corrosion and wear in application, so ceramic materials with high hardness, 2 high wear resistance 3 and good biocompatibility 4 are widely used in the field of artificial joints.…”

“…Many research results show that the surface texture of non-smooth units such as pits, bulges, grooves and other microarray structures can effectively reduce friction and resistance [11,12], while at the same time having hydrophobic or superhydrophobic properties [13]. Inspired by the functional surfaces such as lotus leaves, sharks and pitcher plants in nature [14][15][16], the surface texture treatment of titanium alloy can improve its wettability, increase surface contact angle and improve hydrophobicity. Compared with mechanical, laser, electrical/electrochemical discharge machining [17] and other surface texture methods, through-mask electrochemical micromachining (TMEMM) have many advantages, such as no thermal stress and recast layer on the prepared surface and no limitation in the mechanical properties of the workpiece material.…”
