Abstract:To receive a high-quality welding structure of high-strength S700MC steel for applications in the automotive industry, newly developed electrode wires with increased silicon and manganese content were used. The strength and structural tests of the obtained joints were performed. In the weld, we identified the beneficial oxides strengthening the joint structure and unfavorable MnS inclusions.
