Abstract:Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are formed invariably through oxidative and pyrolytic degradation of organic materials and fuels. Understanding the highly complex reaction mechanisms that dictate their synthesis in thermal systems has been given a great deal of focus.
