Traditional teaching aids lose their relevance in connection with the introduction of a competence approach, therefore, it is necessary to introduce such manuals that will allow students to retain their mobility and productivity without losing the quality of teaching. The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the identification of the features of the development of qualitatively new electronic teaching aids in the university. The purpose of the research: identification of features of the development of an electronic textbook in the formation of professional competencies of students. For this purpose we have singled out the definition of the term “electronic publication”. The problems associated with the development and implementation of electronic textbooks have been identified. The principles of creating electronic materials have been singled out, which is part of the structure and composition of the electronic textbook, as well as the experiments carried out by us, demonstrating, firstly, the need to use information technology in education, and secondly the informativeness and effectiveness of the electronic textbook. One of the main recommendations for the creation of an electronic textbook is the need to provide the teacher with an adequate individual perception, understanding of the teaching material by students. It is necessary to timely eliminate errors, as well as update data: a glossary, practical tasks and text textbooks.

Today, there are qualitative changes in Russian education, primarily due to a large-scale process of reforming and informatization of society. Introduction and use of information and communication technologies greatly simplify any processes and create conditions for improving the quality of life in general. Modern information and communication technologies acquire features of an important resource of technological development in educational process of Russian higher education. Socio-pedagogical significance of the topic under study is determined by the solution of an important state task —training of competent specialists, in particular, presence of a key vector in the development of information competence of a higher school teacher, and insufficient solution to the problem of a teacher’s information competence development in modern conditions. The purpose of the work is to develop a program of professional development for teachers to increase their level of information competence. The phenomenon of information competence of a technical higher education teacher acquires extraordinary relevance for pedagogical theory and practice, which is due to modern educational trends related to the need to implement tasks of preparing a modern teacher in terms of informatization of education. The teacher should be capable of carrying out professional pedagogical activity productively. The authors developed a model for information competence development of a higher educational institution teacher, as well as a program based on it. The authors have carried out the experiment proving the increase in the level of information competence of teachers after the program introduction. This advanced training program may be used in future for all high school teachers

 Abstract: Federal state educational standards of higher education contain requirements that indicate the priority direction of the formation of the competencies of modern graduates. Competence-based educational paradigm necessitates the search and implementation of ways to promote the formation of a qualified specialist. The implementation of project activities in higher education is revealed as the leading direction of activity, ensuring the achievement of a high level of formation of competencies of students of higher educational institutions. The purpose of the article is to consider the project activities of students of higher education in the conditions of implementation of state standards of the new generation. The authors present the characteristics of the project activity, its typology, set the possibilities, the criteria for evaluating the implementation of project activities. As an example, presents a large-scale project of higher school of organization of independent work of students, which includes relevant conditions, educational landscape, allowing students to participate in various projects, thereby forming respective competences laid down in the standard. The project activity of students in the framework of this project develops at a higher level.
