Abstract:A description is given of a method of forming, in a waveguide quasi-optical resonator, non-Gaussian light beams with a uniform intensity distribution. The method is based on the coherent summation of transverse waveguide modes due to change by radius of curvature for one of mirrors. The theoretical model and calculation algorithm for characteristics of the basic mode with the uniform intensity distribution on the resonator output mirror is proposed with use of a method of eigenmodes. The conditions of such mod… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
