Formation of Thermocline in the Equatorial Zone of the Oceans

Abstract: We study the formation of the vertical distribution of temperature in the upper layer of the oceans (0-300 m) at low latitudes (10°N-10°S) by using the nonlinear dependence of the vertical heat flow on the vertical temperature gradient with regard for the influence of the bulk absorption of solar radiation and heat sink on the temperature of water. The thermocline is formed under the condition that the modulus of temperature gradient attains values for which their subsequent increase leads either to insignific… Show more

“…To account for rigidity diagonal rod elements must be introduced for the shift of the side rod panels of model hexagons (Fig. 2, b is not shown), the parameters of which, at the choice of the calculator, are accepted according to the recommendations [22] given in Table. N q a b = + ( ) ( )…”

“…There are three major theories regarding the mechanism of ultrasonic atomization: (1) a theory based on cavitation phenomena, 13) (2) a theory based on surface acoustic waves called capillary waves, 14,15) and (3) a theory that is a combination of the first and second theories. 16) However, there is still no conclusive evidence of which mechanism is responsible for atomization.…”

“…18) Water particles generated by ultrasonic atomization are very fine, and they can raise humidity quickly without wetting the work field. [19][20][21][22] However, the amount of saturated water vapor in the air is changed by the temperature (Fig. 1).…”
