Fossil fauna and flora of a re-discovered locality in the Late Carboniferous Ploužnice Horizon of the Krkonoše Piedmont Basin, Bohemian Massif

Abstract: Here we present preliminary information on the fossil content of a rediscovered fossiliferous locality in the Late Carboniferous (Stephanian; Kasimovian/Gzhelian) Ploužnice Horizon, Semily Formation, in the Krkonoše Piedmont Basin of the Bohemian Massif. Several meters thick reddish to grey tuffaceous siltstones of this lacustrine horizon contain centimetre thick bone-bed layers and sporadically distributed plant remains.
