“…Sequence analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, which is part of the rRNA gene cluster, indicated that these isolates belonged to at least 17 genera. This previous work and follow-up studies of two distinct genera, Cladosporium and Stagonospora, revealed that at least 30 fungal species colonized healthy P. australis (9,41,42).
