“…[62][63][64][65] Coordination polymers with pentamolybdate {Mo 5 O 15 } ions as nodes and transition-metal groups as linkers have been extensively reported in the literature, wherein the exposed atom of the hetero-atom cluster is sometimes used for additional bonding and the formation of extended assemblies. [66][67][68] The first such examples of coordination polymeric frameworks incorporating the pentamolybdate unit and a transition metal were reported by Zubieta and co-workers in 2001, with two different compounds forming one-and two-dimensional extended assemblies, formulated as [{Cu(bpy) 2 }{Cu(bpy…”

“…2′bipyridine and tpypyz = tetra(2-pyridyl)pyrazine], respectively. 69 Subsequent reports of coordination polymers with the {Mo 5 O 15 (PO 3 X) 2 } (X = O, C) units have included other transition-metals, such as with manganese(II), 62 cobalt(II), 70,71 nickel(II), 70,72,73 copper (II), 62,70,[73][74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81] zinc(II), 82,83 and with silver(I), 84,85 along with organic amines as additional ligands.…”

“…The Strandberg-type POM cluster (e.g., [P 2 Mo 5 O 23 ] 6– , abbreviated as {P 2 Mo 5 }) is an important branch of POM chemistry because of its important properties, including high electron density, catalytic activity, easy modification, and size control, which have been gradually studied. However, compared with other types of POMs, Strandberg-type POM clusters have not attracted enough attention. In recent years, Strandberg-type clusters as the parent inorganic skeletons have been introduced into the organic components. It should be pointed out that the POMs containing the organophosphorus (RP) group have been studied much less frequently. Notably, the RP group has been successfully added to the Strandberg-type cluster as the central unit.…”

“…Zhou’s group has investigated the electrochemistry and electrocatalysis of the {P 2 Mo 5 } cluster linked by strontium ions to generate two-dimensional (2D) supramolecular layers, and the electrochemical analysis provides valuable information for intensive research of the CCPs based on the P 2 Mo 5 cluster . Zhu’s group reported TM-4,4′-bipyridine complex unit-decorated Strandberg-type organophosphomolybdate/phosphotungstate hybrids in 2014, and the acid catalytic performances of P 2 Mo 5 cluster coordination polymers were investigated. As we know well, hydrothermal synthesis is an effective method for the preparation of new CCPs. Nevertheless, from a crystal engineering perspective, the structure control of CCPs by hydrothermal synthesis is still a great challenge. Our group has concentrated on studying the structure and performance regulation of POM-based coordination polymers for several years.…”
