Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of cross‐linked polyurethaneurea films synthesized from solutions

Abstract: Cross-linked polyurethaneurea films based on polyoxytetramethylene glycol and polyoxypropylene glycol with toluene diisocyanate and 3,3 -dichloro-4,4 -diaminodiphenylmethane were synthesized in a solutionwhere the solvent evaporates during the polymerization. FT-Raman and FTIR spectra were analysed and intermolecular force constants of hydrogen bonds were calculated. On the basis of the intensity of the Raman and IR spectral lines, which reflects hydrogen bond formation, the optimum structure of hydrogen bonds… Show more

“…Moreover, after aging of foams, noticeable differences in the shape and intensity of signals around 3290-3320 cm − 1 (stretching vibrations of N-H bonds in urethane groups) can be observed, which points to decomposition of urethane groups. Such phenomenon was confirmed by other researchers [52]. More 6 FTIR spectra of rigid polyurethane foams prior to aging and after aging significant changes in FTIR spectra were observed in case of foams subjected to photo-oxidation.…”

“…The 1296 cm −1 and its shoulder at 1256 cm −1 peaks are attributed to the C-O and C-N stretching, CNH bending and the amide III. The aliphatic asymmetric C-O-C stretching from the ether groups appear at 1114 cm −1 and 1033 cm −1 , and the peak at 834 cm −1 is assigned to the stretching, wagging and twisting of the C-C and CH 2 in the polyether region of the polymer backbone [36-37]. The Raman spectrum of pristine MWCNTs shows the two vibrational modes expected, the tangential G-band at 1598 cm −1 and the D-band at 1308 cm −1 [38].…”

“…The free NH stretching vibration appears at about 3515 cm K1 . An overtone of deformation vibration of NH group increased by Fermi resonance at 3185 cm K1 was also observed [29]. The conversion, r NCO of NCO groups was derived from the equation [23] …”
