An accomplished author herself, Elaine has contributed to 15 HPP papers with titles that always call the field to action: For example, in 2006: “ Health Education Leadership Development: A Conceptual Model and Competency Framework ” (Wright et al, 2003), and “ Framing a Transdisciplinary Research Agenda in Health Education to Address Health Disparities and Social Inequities: A Roadmap for SOPHE Action ” (Gambescia et al, 2006); a few years later and ahead of the curve, “ Environmental Health Promotion: Advancing the Science and Practice ” (Auld & Hatcher, 2010); thinking ahead as opportunities arose, “Health Education Careers in a Post-Health Reform Era” (Auld, 2017), and most recently “ Public Health and School Health Education: Aligning Forces for Change ” (Birch & Auld, 2019).
