Dans cette étude de type métadisciplinaire, une réflexion est menée sur la romanistique dans l'actuel contexte universitaire suédois. Il existe de nos jours des tendances à la division et au morcellement de la discipline. Cependant, comme le montre l'étude, il est possible d'observer des faits et des pratiques institutionnels et organisationnels qui témoignent pourtant d'une présence de la romanistique en Suède aujourd'hui. À l'aide des distinctions de Kronning (2020) entre différents types de communautés scientifiques et de son analyse de la notion de romaniste, nous essayons également d'appréhender l'identité professionnelle complexe et multiforme des chercheurs en langues romanes en Suède. Cette identité est façonnée par la coappartenance possible à plusieurs communautés scientifiques de différents ordres, et peut inclure une part plus ou moins importante d'identité romaniste. L'existence d'une communauté de romanistes offre en effet au chercheur la possibilité, s'il le souhaite, de faire partie de cette collectivité, pouvant ainsi contribuer à la constitution de son identité professionnelle.

The initial Swedish discourse of transnational adoption as a win-win situation has changed over its more than 60-year-long history. This article aims to trace and present some themes in this history, with a particular focus on the public debate and the different narratives that representatives of the adoption triangle—the adoptees, the adoptive parents, and the biological parents—tell when dealing with transnational and transracial adoption as a personal and political phenomenon. The article draws from an ongoing study of discourses and narratives of transnational adoption based, above all, on journalism, memoirs, governmental documents, and previous research. It attempts to present the contradictory perspectives on transnational adoption to create a diffractive pattern. The diffractive analysis makes it possible to show how the investigated narratives and discourses on transnational adoption change in encounters with experiences made, and even more so, made visible and knowledgeable, in social practices.

“…At Dalarna University, a small university in the middle of Sweden with about 15,000 students, roughly two-thirds of the student body study either entirely at a distance, meaning they never come to campus, or in a blended format, meaning they only rarely attend sessions on campus. Among the first disciplines to move their teaching online were the languages, which have been teaching online since the early 2000s (Lindgren, 2020). In 2020, most of Dalarna's language students are taught online through a combination of synchronous, scheduled seminars with teachers and fellow students and a variety of asynchronous activities.…”

Supplemental Instruction is a program designed to support students in their learning process. The program consists of advanced students supervising new students, where the purpose is to improve students’ performance and reduce the risk of interruption of studies. Supplemental Instruction was established almost 50 years ago and is used today in universities around the world. This book examines different aspects of SI in organizations and leadership, including surveys of Supplemental Instruction programs in Europe, how SI sessions should be organized, the degree to which SI improves retention rates and exam results, SI and learning leadership and leadership development, benefits of being a member of an SI team and employability, SI implementation in healthcare education and virtual students’ attitudes towards SI online. The book is aimed at anyone who is concerned about study quality in higher education. The contributors are researchers and lecturers at various universities from several countries. The book is part of a trilogy on Supplemental Instruction, where the themes for the other books are “Digital Technologies” and “Student Learning Processes”. The editors of the trilogy are Abbas Strømmen-Bakhtiar, Roger Helde and Elisabeth Suzen, all three Associate Professors at Nord University, Norway.
