Frequency and frequency modulation share the same predictive encoding mechanisms in human auditory cortex

Abstract: Expectations can substantially influence perception. Predictive coding is a theory of sensory processing that aims to explain the neural mechanisms underlying the effect of expectations in sensory processing.
