Frequency-dependent gating of feedforward inhibition in thalamofrontal synapses

Abstract: Thalamic recruitment of feedforward inhibition is known to enhance the fidelity of the receptive field by limiting the temporal window during which cortical neurons integrate excitatory inputs.
