Abstract: Background It is established that Vitamin D deficiency is common in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)[1], and that the prevalence of chronic infection is increased in RA [2]. Vitamin D deficiency has been proposed as a factor in the increased propensity of RA patients to develop chronic infection.
