Abstract: BackgroundAxial spondyloarthropathies (axSpA) are chronic inflammatory diseases affecting the sacroiliac joint, spine, peripheral joint, and entheses. Entheses are emphasized as one of the primary targets of axSpA, but they show little signal on conventional clinical magnetic resonance (MR).
