From Code to Coloured Petri Nets: Modelling Guidelines

Abstract: Abstract. This paper presents a method for designing a coloured Petri net model of a system starting from its high-level object oriented source code. The entire process is divided into two parts: grounding and code analysis. For each part detailed step-by-step guidelines are given. The approach is illustrated with an industrial application case study, the NEO protocol.
