Front Cover: Azobis[tetrazolide]‐Carbonates of the Lanthanides – Breaking the Gadolinium Break (Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 19/2018)

Abstract: The Front Cover shows a photograph of a geological structure with a small, black hump in the middle: a crystal of gadolinite. The hump symbolizes the gadolinium break. The structure of the featured lanthanide azobis[tetrazolide]‐carbonate reaches from Y to Yb, illustrating the “overcoming” of the gadolinium break. More information can be found in the https://doi.org/10.1002/ejic.201800218 For more on the story behind the cover research, see the https://doi.org/10.1002/ejic.201800446.
