J Sep Sci 2018, 41, 1257–1265 DOI: https://doi.org/10.1002/jssc.201701315 The cover picture shows the main innovative aspects of an original enantioselective HPLC‐DAD method, developed for the determination of asenapine enantiomers in miniaturised haematic samples. Four categories of micromatrices, based on dried matrix spots (DMS) and volumetric absorptive microsampling (VAMS), are obtained from whole blood or plasma. Asenapine enantiomers are completely resolved by liquid chromatography, using a cellulose‐based sorbent, thus allowing an advanced reliable monitoring of vulnerable patient populations, such as those undergoing CNS drug therapies.
