Green tea epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG) inhibits the growth of 3T3‐L1 white and D12 beige preadipocytes at least through modulations of microRNA‐let‐7a and high mobility group AT‐hook 2 (HMGA2) expression levels. EGCG increases microRNA‐let‐7a levels and decreases HMGA2 gene expression. This is reported by Ching‐Feng Cheng, Hui‐Chen Ku, Yung‐Hsi Kao, and co‐workers in article number 2200336.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
