Sketching on stimulus-organism-response theory, this study aims to investigate the mediating effect of environmental passion on the relationship of the environmentally specific servant leadership with employees’ green behavior. Using purposive sampling approach, the authors adopted one month time-lagged approach to collected data from 232 academic employees in higher education institutions of China. Response rate in this study is 46.40%. The partial least-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis was conducted in the smartpls 4.0 software to test the proposed hypotheses. The current empirical findings confirm that environmentally specific servant leadership significantly positively influence employee’s environmental passion and environmental passion significantly positively affects the employee’s workplace green behaviors. This current finding offered support in favor of mediating impact of environmental passion on the “environmentally specific servant leadership-employees workplace green behaviors” relationship. To the best of authors, this study is among pioneers’ studies to investigate the integrated relationship of environmentally specific servant leadership, environmental passion and green behavior in higher education institutions context of China. Limitations and implication have been elaborated at the end.

Sketching on psychological ownership-attitude-behavior theory, the present study examines the effect of destination psychological ownership on Generation Z’s tourist environmental attitude, which in turn influences their sustainable behavior. This study also investigates the conditional impact of environmental awareness on the ecological attitude-sustainable behavior relationship. Using a purposive sampling approach, the authors collected data from inbound Generation Z tourists in the UK and China through a survey. The findings concluded with a significant positive impact of destination psychological ownership on Generation Z’s environmental attitude. The current evidence also supports the positive effect of ecological attitude on Generation Z’s sustainable behavior. The present work offered robust evidence that environmental awareness moderates the environmental attitude-sustainable behavior relationship in Generation Z. Concerning UK and Chinese cultural differences, the findings concluded with variations among their Generation Z tourist destination psychological ownership, ecological attitude and sustainable practices. Implications and limitations have also been elaborated on at the end.

Frugal innovation through frugal functionality, frugal cost, and frugal ecosystems that reduce goods to their essential features has emerged as a highly effective method to improve sustainable development across societies, in developed countries as well as in developing countries. Drawing on social exchange theory and effectuation theory, this study examines the indirect effect of diversified knowledge sharing on the relationship of sustainability-oriented leadership with frugal innovation and the conditional role of entrepreneurial bricolage. The study utilized data collected from 223 representatives of small and medium enterprises in Poland. Partial least squares structural equation modelling was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The results confirmed that sustainability-oriented leadership indirectly and significantly affects frugal functionality and costs through both internal and external diversified knowledge sharing. Yet, internal diversified knowledge sharing does not mediate the sustainability-oriented leadership–frugal ecosystem relationship. The findings show that the sustainability-oriented leadership–external diversified knowledge sharing relationship amplifies with increasing values of entrepreneurial bricolage. However, the sustainability-oriented leadership–internal diversified knowledge sharing relationship does not change in the presence of entrepreneurial bricolage. This pioneering study explores the interactions between sustainability-oriented leadership, entrepreneurial bricolage, and internal as well as external diversified knowledge sharing with regards to frugal innovation. It uncovers the underlying processes of frugal innovation and improved frugal innovation performance, facilitates the integration of knowledge, recognises successful approaches to leadership, creates initiatives for leadership development, and offers actionable insights for organisations aiming to cultivate frugal innovation.
