Abstract:Possible replenishment schemes ensuring the attainment and maintenance of an equilibrium fuel composition are studied for a subcritical liquid-salt transplutonium burner reactor now under development. The computational model describes fuel burnup in a two-component approximation singling out the transplutonium actinides and the remaining actinide fractions consisting mainly of plutonium. The analysis is limited to instantaneous replenishment control, directly proportional to the criticality and/or fuel composi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
