Abstract:Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa is rare. We report a case of a 29-year-old female with anorexia nervosa admitted to our intensive care unit for CAP due to P. aeruginosa. Although she had no previously known pseudomonal risk factors, gram-negative rods found in the sputum Gram stain led to immediate administration of an antipseudomonal drug.
