Abstract:Proteasomes are barrel-like cellular protein complexes responsible for the degradation of most intracellular proteins. Earlier, it has been shown that during assembly, hundreds of different cellular proteins are incorporated into retro-and herpes viruses. Among detected cellular proteins, there were different proteasome subunits (PS). Previous reports postulated the incorporation of 20S proteasome subunits and subunits of proteasome regulator complexes inside retroviruses. Here, we demonstrated the association… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
