Functional outcome of hemi-hamate arthroplasty in proximal interphalangeal joint fracture–dislocations

Abstract: Aim of study was to access functional outcome in unstable dorsal PIP joint fracture dislocations. We evaluated 25 patients age between 18 to 35 years. Eligible patient had unstable dislocations with comminuted fractures involving at least 40% of the volar middle phalangeal surface. Outcomes were assessed by Motion/stability, grip strength and visual analog scales of pain and function. The mean follow-up period was 20 (range 18-29) months.
