Functional Segmentation Method for the Design of Compact Adiabatic Devices

Abstract: In this study, a functional segmentation method for the design of adiabatic devices is presented. This method can be applied to calculate the compact adiabatic waveguide shapes for adiabatic taper waveguides and adiabatic mode converters.
